In collaboration with the UQ Business School, I spearheaded the development of an application tailored to streamline key management within the institution. The resulting application serves as a comprehensive database encompassing physical keys, key cards, lockers, mailboxes, and pin numbers employed across the school's premises. Its primary functionality revolves around effortless key tracking, searching, and filtering, while also empowering administrators to seamlessly introduce new keys, as well as modify existing entries individually or in bulk.
Undertaking this project presented an array of formidable challenges, given its foundation on an existing CodeIgniter and Mongo-based module within a much larger internal application. My task entailed intricate database mapping, followed by the creation of a new application utilizing Laravel and MySQL. The goal was to ensure smooth data migration despite the stark disparities between the two platforms.
The endeavor demanded meticulous effort and considerable perseverance. Rigorous testing was conducted, and patience proved indispensable as we meticulously migrated the data, constructed the new application, and ultimately delivered a markedly more user-friendly experience for the school staff.

Over the past 12 years, my journey as a developer at UQ has been one of continuous growth and exploration. My initial foray into the world of development began with Drupal 6, and through dedication and learning, I progressed to Drupal 7 before arriving at the current Drupal 10 landscape. This evolution has not only sharpened my technical abilities but also reinforced my adaptability in a rapidly changing technological landscape.
My primary focus lies in Laravel web development, a realm that has captured my professional enthusiasm. The elegance of Laravel's architecture resonates with me, and I'm committed to refining my expertise by seamlessly integrating Laravel Filament. One aspect of development that truly resonates with me is the meticulous process of writing PHPUnit tests. This not only ensures robust code but also aligns with my enjoyment of ensuring the quality and reliability of the products I create.
